WobbleBots

Thursday, March 18th, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm PST (virtual)

Friday, March 26th, 4:45 pm – 5:45 pm PST (in-person)

In these workshops, tinkerers will get to explore circuits, switches, propellers, direct drive, and simple gear systems. Make a Wobble Bot! With your motor slightly off-balance, your creation will wobble and move. Use this technique to make a fun creature or turn it into a drawing bot.

What craft supplies do I need to have?:

Your kit includes almost everything you will need.  In addition to your kit, you may need a pair of scissors, a pencil, a few colored markers, and a space to work. Know where your recycle bin is located, you may be inspired and want to use some household materials.

We are HERE to Help

TinkerSpace has always been about communal making experiences. Everyone at TinkerSpace works on their own project while receiving guidance from TinkerSpace staff and inspiration from other people’s work. Each workshop introduces a process or mechanism while we look closely at examples, then each tinkerer creates their own project. With our Virtual Workshops, we’ve taken this idea to the Zoom platform. Set up your computer (or other Zoom-capable device) at a work table, gather your supplies, and make with a community. TinkerSpace staff and other participants of the TinkerTime are available to offer advice and guidance and you can be inspired by what others are making.
