Curious Creators

January 10 - January 31

January 10, 17, 24, 31
Explore your creativity through crafting whimsical toys and giving life to your imagination. Each week, you are invited to create, inspired by a fresh theme. Thoughtfully crafted examples showcase new techniques, guiding you in shaping your unique creations.
Recommended for Ages 4 – 10.
Cost: $75 per 4-week session.
What Does This Class Look Like?
Each week a new open-ended project is presented to the entire group along with examples and materials. Parents are welcome (encouraged in the case of younger students) to stay and participate alongside. Parents’ roles include that of memory, extra hands, and dexterity. More independent students are welcome to be dropped off for the 45-minute class.
How does this class relate to Saturday STEAM (Ages 3 – 6)?
If you’ve been attending Saturday STEAM with your child and find they can stay with one activity for an extended period, the next step is to enroll in Curious Creators. Conversely, if your child tends to stay with projects and ideas for 5 – 15 minutes maximum, they are better suited to our Saturday STEAM class.
How does this class relate to Kinetic Engineering (Ages 6 – 10)?
Kinetic Engineering is slightly more focused on the end product than on the process of getting there. Each session of Kinetic Engineering focuses on building a particular movement mechanism and then allowing the participants to create their own toy/model from that mechanism. This class is more focused on process art to create a toy/model (movement may or may not take a role)
