These Guided TinkerTimes are intended for our youngest friends to participate with an adult. Make this a special time to work together as a family. Each week, we’ll work together on the basic project as we discuss ways to tinker with the outcome. Then families will be given time to add to their work based on these tinkering ideas. Lastly, we’ll all have the opportunity to share our work. Paper Bag Art Journal – Kit includes 1 handled paper bag, 4 sheets of large construction paper, copper brads, orange masking tape, washi-tape, tempera paint (in-store pickup only), paintbrush, and a mixing tray. Cereal Box Theater – Kit includes 1 prepped cereal box, 1 piece of prepped foam core, construction paper backdrops, cardstock scraps, and fishing line. Flower Fairies – Kit includes flowers, beads, pipe cleaner, yarn, embroidery floss, construction paper, and tacky glue. Crepe Paper Flowers – Kit includes floral wire, crepe paper, floral tape, yarn, toothpicks. Each kit comes with an assortment of ephemera (pompoms, sequins, buttons, etc.) Additional supplies you may need are scissors, scotch tape, markers, and a glue stick.

Pick up your kits at TinkerSpace (no charge) or pay $8 flat rate for shipping anywhere in the United States. If you are ordering multiple kits, you only need to pay one shipping charge.
Note: If you are paying by credit card, there is a drop-down menu to choose shipping or in-store pick-up. If you are paying via PayPal you will need to click on the highlighted shipping charge to change it to in-store pick-up if that is your desire.

What craft supplies do I need to have?:
Your kit includes almost everything you will need. In addition to your kit, you may need scissors, scotch tape, markers, a glue stick. and a space to work. Know where your recycle bin is located, you may be inspired and want to use some household materials.
We are HERE to Help
TinkerSpace has always been about communal making experiences. Everyone at TinkerSpace works on their own project while receiving guidance from TinkerSpace staff and inspiration from other people’s work. Each workshop introduces a process or mechanism while we look closely at examples, then each tinkerer creates their own project. With our Virtual Workshops, we’ve taken this idea to the Zoom platform. Set up your computer (or other Zoom-capable device) at a work table, gather your supplies, and make with a community. TinkerSpace staff and other participants of the TinkerTime are available to offer advice and guidance and you can be inspired by what others are making.
