MotorWorks: Electrifying Creations

May 31 - August 6

4-Week Class:

Fridays, May 31 – June 21, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm,

Direct Drive Car, Propeller Car, Dual Transmission Car, and Brush Bot (with Habitat)

$112  ($72 paid to the City of Claremont, $40 paid directly to instructor at first class.)

At the end of the 4-week class, students will have an electronics kit that includes 4 motors, batteries, 3 different types of tapes, upcycled materials to use as wheels, propellers, etc all in a tidy box. Combined with their new knowledge of connecting electrical circuits, they will be set for hours of tinkering this summer.

Individual Sessions:

Tuesday, June 18 – Propeller Car

Tuesday, July 23 – Dual Transmission Car

Tuesday, August 6 – Brush Bot (and Habitat)

$20 per session ($10 paid to the City of Upland, $10 paid directly to the instructor at each session,)

Unleash your inner engineer on an electrifying journey where innovation comes to life through the magic of circuits, motors, and batteries. In this dynamic workshop, participants will delve into the world of hands-on engineering by wiring circuits to craft creations. Brush bots, direct drive cars, indirect drive cars, and propeller cars help you explore the principles of motion, mechanics, and electricity as you bring about your imaginative designs.
